One of the region's most comprehensive tennis facilities, the club members 18 tennis courts - 6 indoor and 12 outdoor, including 2 clay courts, as well as a glass-backed racquetball court and a North American squash court. The pro shop sells tennis and fitness items including clothes, balls, shoes and accessories.
The club's activities are action-packed, including 6 major annual state tournaments (5 are junior events) adult and junior leagues, permanent courts, interclub events, lessons and drills, junior tennis nights, social mixers, a junior tennis team, ball machine, tennis camps and indoor court rentals. It is the leading family club in Colorado Springs, with the top junior program in the state. The club's juniors have won the city's 10, 12 and 14 events for 6 consecutive years and have won 25 state high school titles.
The club offers three full-time tennis professionals each of whom have served the club for over 20 years. Tennis director Richard Hillway, who has coached 35 state champion high school teams, founded Colorado's Tennis Hall of Fame and is a leading US tennis historian, runs the junior program. Mark Bishop is till the state's top player in his age group. Ken Bartz coached one junior to become the #1 ranked player in the US. They teach lessons and drills to players of all ages and abilities and make it fun!!

Rich Hillway - Tennis Director and Junior Tennis Professional
Rich Hillway oversees all the tennis activities at the Club and is in charge of the tennis courts. His primary responsibilities are the junior tennis and group tennis lesson programs. Club members are very fortunate to have Rich leading and participating in the many club programs. His ever-present smile and warm heart can be found:
- Teaching children and juniors the life long sport of tennis
- Overseeing one of three state sanctioned junior tournaments each year
- Managing the junior tennis team and the club junior tournament
- Coordinating events like junior nights, parent-child nights, junior leagues and ladders
- Guiding the tiny tots and summer assistant programs
Mark Bishop - Tennis Professional and Head of Adult Tennis Activities
Mark Bishop is responsible for the adult tennis activities and is a premier teaching tennis professional. Most of the time you will find Mark:
- Teaching adult private, junior and group tennis lessons
- Running adult team workouts like 3-and-me and 4-and-me strategy lessons
- Organizing holiday mixers, adult competitive and social tennis events
- Managing the adult state sanctioned tournament.
- Coaching some of our summer competitive adult teams
Ken Bartz - Tennis Professional and Adult League Coordinator
Ken Bartz is responsible for the adult club leagues and is a premier teaching tennis professional. Bright and early, you will find Ken:
- Teaching adult private, junior, and group tennis lessons
- Helping members with single and doubles strategy lessons
- Running 3-and-me's, ladies day, early morning ball machine workouts
- Directing our indoor fall, winter and spring tennis leagues
- Verifying players' ratings and standings
- Helping with our summer leagues program and all of our state tennis tournaments
- Running some of our after school programs for elementary schools.
